DU's been a lot of fun these days. I think the regime has lost control there -- lots of good guys posting Reason in the face of their crap, and the moderators haven't been keeping up. Some good posters have lasted for days.

OTOH, I think they've finally learned how to block IPs, rather than just email addresses. It's getting harder and harder to sign up after you're banned :-). Not impossible, mind you, but a somewhat more interesting challenge...

You have to remember, these are idiots that "knew no one that voted for Nixon" in 1972 or Reagan in 1984.

They go through life with blinders on. Any information that cracks their egg is frowned upon. They are no different than Islamic fundamentalists, Soviet thugs, Ba'athist, etc.

They are actually much worse. They have access to the truth those others do not. They purposly choose to ignore the truth when it doesn't fit their utopia.

They really hate America but don't have the spine to leave their cushy life. They think not getting a good seat at a Bjork concert is some corporate plot to keep them down.

They haven't got enough brain power to move my battery operated clock 2 seconds while they get in your face with their "facts".

They are so easily duped, they scream to Congress for laws to protect their stupidity from themselves. I've won more than my share of arguments using their own points and taking their side and saying it was a GOP idea. They rail against it until I correct myself and point out it was a Dem idea.

They are some of the most racists a-holes I've ever met while calling a conservative a racist if they even say the word "black". They hate Jews. So bad it's sickening.

They hate capitalism and "big business" but usually work for them. Most can't get through a work day with smoking pot. (I wait until I get home! lol)

They are so intellectually inferior to Rain Man yet think they are Einstein.

Logic boggles their mind. Once, after refuting one's logic for 30 minutes, I got this retort back, "At least I have a cause".
