Is David Gregory usually this rude to Ari at the WH presser? I can't watch. Gregory practically spitting in his angst that President Bush hasn't named a day for the war to end. Is he mentally ill? Seriously? Did he ever ask Clinton about the end of Kosovo? Does he listen to the daily CENTCOM or Pentagon briefings? Does he have a clue about history, warfare, freedom, decency? Lord, I would strip these contemptuous nitwits of their press passes so fast - and hand them over to adults - to make sure the world hears the truth about America, bad AND good.

This is why I avoid WH pressers.

All of the press briefings are like that. WH, Centcom, Pentagon. I don't know how the spokespeople do it without swearing alot more. I am glad they are on TV, though. This way the American people can see the contempt the press has for our leaders.

During the past month, the ratings of the three major nets have declined..while the cable ratings have soared...basically, people don't turn to NBC, CBS, or ABC anymore for the news....FOX is growing....Greta's show this week is getting OVER 5 million viewers..the most ever..more than double Aaronn Brown on CNN..( and that's with Greta, fer pete's sake) .and this week, Fox&Friends beat the CBS morning news show..first time ever they've beat a major net morning show.....also, another fact not yet reflected, IMHO...I think this is the first time that lots of folks are watching these press conferences live, and they're starting to hear and see the institutional biases of the media...change is coming...it'll take loner that it took the US to take Bagdad, however..

BTW...I think it's a lock that after the war, sometime this summer....either CBS or ABC merges its news division with CNN....the broadcast nets will be able to get a better deal than beforem because CNN is way down, therefore, not as valuable..and they need time to gear up to cover the primaries and the election cycle.....
