I am in bed too, in my PJ's too (ITS FRIDAY!!) Drink on the night stand, laptop in my lap, remote to my left and cat on my feet.... My next computer will be a laptop so that I can FReep and play mah jong in bed. I have a big comfy chair and a half pulled up the computer desk so I can't complain that much.

You have to look at the whole picture. Russia is talking about forgiving Iraq's debt and getting France and Germany to do the same.
The message is: If you wanta play, put some money in the pot.

The 'STANS' have allowed us to use their countries for the purpose of fighting in Afghanistan. The world is a mighty complicated place these days.....and I cannot tell from one minute to the next who is on whose side.
I just pray a lot.....

WWII was wanker-free...at least in the news. Imagine that?!
Valleley is trying to set Colmes straight but I believe it is hopeless.

I totally agree with you about her privacy. Rape has such an ugly stigma attached to it. People will say she is tough as nails to have survived gunshot wounds, broken bones, lacerations. But rape victims are often portrayed as weak and vulnerable. Granted, most victims probably feel both of those for a time, but in the long run, most get their world centered again and go on and are productive people in society. In all honesty, I bet she will never remember most of what was done to her, sometimes our brains blank out trauma, which is a huge blessing.

Alan Colmes is wrong when he says the protestors don't effect the morale of the troops. John Gibson told the troops w/ Rick Leventhal last night that the polls showed growing American support for the war and the Marines w/ Rick said that it mattered a lot to them what Americans thought, because they heard about all of the anti-American protests and didn't know whether we were behind them... without news for weeks.

EVERYTIME they have interviewed the families of POW's in this war, they have all commented on the protestors and asked them to stop....stating that it hurt and broke their hearts...

Marines tend to get an itty bit touchy when they're called "soldiers." Of course, my hubby was a swabbie, so what do I know :-))

I agree totally, I hope there will be no mention of her torture or sexual torture.
Heard a reporter demand from a general the other day that since she's a hero we have the right to know more about what happened to her. I wanted to reach through the screen and punch that skunk's lights out.

Speaking of a Kennedy and Ollie, here's a snippet from Ollie's first book.
"The mining (firecracker mines that make the sound, but do little or no damage) led to a spate of hearings. When Tony Motley was called before the House Intelligence Committee to answer questions about the mining, the congressmen jumped all over him. 'This is terrible,' one of them said. 'We're involved in illegal, covert actions, and we're killing innocent sailors from other countries.'
'Just a minute,' Tony replied. 'Let me put this thing in context. Fewer people were killed by these mines than died at Chappaquidick.'
Maybe that's why Tony didn't last too long in the job. As good as he was, you can't talk like that and stay very long at the State Department."

I wish people could allow Pfc. Lynch her privacy. If she has been raped, it should be her choice to speak about it when she's ready.
So do I. She was tortured and that is all we need to know about that.

we have to keep russia with us on the reservation, and to some extent germany, since they are the economic engine of the EU. But we can afford and should isolate the French, we must take away their veto power on the security council. their vote must be replaced with an "EU" seat and vote as a permanent member.

Is Susan Estrich the Wankfrau or the Wanktrix?
