Everytime I see our President, it just makes Clintons faults all that much more obvious.

I'm going to look up Chris Hitchins past columns about the Kurds.
I was listening to Ken Hamblin at the beginning of the war and he characterized the Turkish position as that Kurds are terrorists. Not sure about the accuracy of that.
To: Cordova Belle
The Turks have concerns..no rights. The President has said Iraq will stay intact..and the Kurds are OK with that as long as they have a degree of autonomy. There is a radical group of Kurds who caused the Turks problems. That's the limit of my education!

I do believe we fought a war over secession! The land is not ours to 'give' anyone.

Gen. Handwring is from Little Rock. Was despised all during his military career. Ran the NATO operation in Yugoslavia and the Brits accused him of trying to start world war three with the Russians.
After he was retired early he discovered his jewish roots.......seemingly a requirement for democrat presidential candidates.
He is know to despise and be despised by Rumsfeld, et al.

Why should Turkey have anything to say about what happens to the Kurds or Kirkuk? IMHO, Turkey hasn't earned the right to have control over their destiny.
Turkey shouldn't. The Kurds are spending their blood and their treasure to help remove Saddam's regime. Except for the assistance of our special forces they are doing it alone and they are doing it well. I doubt that making a separate Kurdistan would help to create a peaceful Iraq. I suspect that the Kurds hope to have a strong part in the new governmental structure of Iraq and I think they will get it.

Clinton military excursions in Haiti, Somalia, Serbia, Bosnia, etc. quite a record!
