heh, could not have been said any better. I think they try to jump on stuff before it's clear, to trump the other stations, but it does set them up to make big mistakes/miscalls.

If you were a embedded reporter. You are in touch with locals. You would be in a hurry to put the story out as soon as you had some tangible evidence-testing HOT. You do put a disclaimer..not yet substantiated.

You could accuse all the media outlets of the same as your PoohPooh of FOXNews(as you sit here and read a FreeRepublic from your armchair thousands of miles from the scene).
