Why is it people come in here to complain? They obviously have internet access. Why don't they go to Drudge or NRO or FoxNews or any of hundreds if not thousands of sources for the news they desparately need?

I'll tell you why. Because we GOT HERE / found this EXACT THREAD via our internet access. I was doing Google searches for a particular war news story (maybe POWs or something), and one of the top 3-4 hits for my search was THIS EXACT THREAD. Not the website home page, but this thread. I liked what I read, because it was pertinent, so I STAYED HERE, even though I continued to explore all those other sites you mentioned. I have over 50 war-related websites bookmarked. But I like this one the BEST. I had no idea there were OTHER resources on the FR website that were more exclusively news; not until a Freeper told me about it. Once I found those news-only resources, I had everything I needed - news AND witty repartee'. (sp?)

I understand how you found this thread. Are you telling me that after you registered you NEVER SAW the front page of this site? The one with all the headings like "latest Posts," "Latest News," and "Latest Articles?" That is the page you had to go to to LOG ON!!
