Not on freepers (I hope). One emailer said he cared for the soldiers who were killed, and their families, but he did not care for the journalists who were killed, or their families. Another email said "Screw the journalists".
Sec. of HHS Tommy Thompson, interview w/ Linda Vester on FN:
"I've always been confident (in our ability to handle a terrorist attack at home). We have done so much in getting prepared in the last couple of years, since 9-11, we've got the country divided into12 sector, 10 regions ...highly trained medical personnel...we have the opportunity to respond so quickly..We can't prevent it, but..we are ready for any chem., bio., radiol. attack."
Re. SARs: "we didn't really get any help until 10 days ago from anyone in China. It has spread quite rapidly, approx 4% fatalities...rather high for a flu-like illness...first we have to find out, make sure it's the (corna?) virus...then we have to develop the test...we're very close to developing the test....find a way to control it...working w/ vaccine companies...they're cooperating. Will probably take a year before we come up w/ a vaccine."
