I live in Oregon. Yesterday we got word that yet another Oregon was KIA. He was a volunteer firefighter in a rural town. 35 years old.
The last time his folks heard from him was when David Bloom let him use his sat phone to call home. There is video footage of it. Not only that, he and David had "bunked" together (whatever that entails... same tent?).
