Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help! If you post graphics, please "size" them so that our browsers continue to load the rest of the thread!

There is also a reason why we are ordering MOAB to the scene now. Maybe the monster that wouldn't die is in Tikrit (home town) and we know it....

Good joke on Leno tonite:
You should have seen all the Iraqis looting the Presidential Palace. Why, there hasn't been looting of a Presidential place like that since Bill and Hillary left the White House!

I agree, I was shocked how dumb the reporters were with their sandbags etc. But it is still sad that they died.
I agree with Shep that it is still good that a few stayed behind. And I certainly do not want the governement to provide me all my information.

Just got home too. From bits and pieces I've watch a hugh celebration in Michigan (not related to any kind of sports) Flags of both USA and Irag waving. People celebrating freedom.
People in Iraq giving our soldiers flowers, tearing down statues of SH and hitting them with their shoes. Saw several pictures people in Iraq kissing soldier and pictures of "W"; a picture of young boys sitting eagerly at their school desks grinning from ear to ear.(with a caption that read their teacher's salary had ben paid in advance out of pockets of our GI.)
Smiles on the faces of young children, old men, soldiers, youth, women, babies. In fact everyone seems happy except certain unnamed democrats.
Let freedom ring!

Agree - it's just that the Euro's choices seem to be between tha Radical Socialtst People's Party and the Reactionary Socialist People's Party (with all of Baskin Robbin's flavours in between)

How many of the countries that are part of the Coalition of Freedom are countries that became free as a direct and/or indirect result of the U.S. or the policies, either open or covert, of the U.S.? Count them. And don't forget the U.K.
To: Tree of Liberty
Phew... glad to hear that they aren't counting on the pigeon to do all the work :)

Wouldn't it be cool if they drop the MOAB on that resort in Syria?

The cam just went off, but I don't think they were wearing black.

Its ok to admit it, you're among friends. The first step towards healing is admitting you have a problem. hahhaa..I have long hair and had a perm put in it one time. It was very curly and my husband swore he was 'sleeping' with a lion. He was not impressed. In fact, when he came to pick me up from the salon, he kept driving right by, scowling at me the whole time. It was a sad day in our neighborhood.

Nor do I wish gov't. providing info, but, I'm sick and tired of SNIVELING journalists of the socialist/islamist persuation with an adjenda. Gimme the Ernie Pyle type of war correspondent.
