Question: Kirkuk, Kirkuk, Kirkuk.
LOL! He's asking another Kirkuk question.

"....saw a small plane flying very low around in circles about two miles from my house.""I have no idea what it means."
Are you sure it was a small plane two miles away or just a mosquito buzzing about your head? :-)

Somehow I knew Bret would be asking about the nuke stuff.

And, curiously, the one picture that was on the internet showing the damage to the outside of the hotel has been pulled. Not sure this is the photo you were looking for, but this showed up on netscape.
"Impacts of a U.S. tank shell are seen on the Palestine hotel in Baghdad, Tuesday, April 8, 2003. The Palestine hotel took fire Tuesday after U.S. troops said snipers were shooting at them from the building. At least five journalists were injured, as earlier Tuesday a correspondent for the Al-Jazeera television network was killed when its Baghdad office was hit during a U.S. bombing campaign."

Hey Nully!
Can you do me a personal favour? Please take over the thread tomorrow - I won't be available!
To: Miss Marple
Thank you kindly for that post Miss Marple.
I was so excited to read this in the paper yesterday (on FR of course). If this breakes correctly it will be huge - bigger than some gasous product or bacteria - and thus, my concern of not wanting to get this hyped up by Fox or other news organizations if it turns out to be a false.
This is so big to me because if we can prove to the world that this dictator either made a bomb, had the ability to create a dirty bomb and/or was only weeks/months away from creating a nuclear bomb then we were right to invade.

p.s. - Good news on that Iraqi general wanting to surrender.

Somehow I knew Bret would be asking about the nuke stuff.
Well at least he didn't say Kirkuk!

That would be the way I see it. Just as the news about the locals "looting" organizations who didn't support them. They may have been kept down, but they know who was there for them.
To: hawkaw
Yes! Finally asking about the underground nuclear facility.
Torie and Gen. McChrystal deflecting.
To: texasbluebell
Yes, that is the one that I saw, too. I just thought a tank would do more damage. I wouldn't expect the balcony to still be attached to the building after a tank fired on it.

Mpf. Makes me sick seing Ethipia or the Marshall Islands honored. Germany has provided more help than both "nations" together. Well, it´s your thread.
Another question: I saw pictures of Kurdish fighters. These guys had G3 guns (Heckler & Koch), with (former) NATO-caliber 7,62x51mm. Where did they get them from? I doubt that Turkey has delivered them...
To: Carolina
Question: Kirkuk, Kirkuk, Kirkuk.
LOL! He's asking another Kirkuk question.
Well, I guess we can call the guy Kirkuk!
