Now THAT is the kind of story we should have been reading over and over and over - but have not. I hope there will be volumes written (like this one) after this is all over. Better yet, I hope there will be many more like this one written NOW. We need to commend this writer!!!

The author assumed the hostiles were Iraqis. There are plenty of die-hard Palestinian, Syrians, Sudanese, Syrians, Egyptians, etc. wandering around Iraq in a futile attempt to support their favorite ghoul. Now is the time to kill them and capture those we can, to bring them to trial in Iraqi courts for their terrorism toward Iraqis!

The U.S. troops also discovered 50 Iraqi military fuel tankers and uncovered a warehouse packed with stashes of food and supplies that should have been distributed to the Iraqi public through the U.N. sponsored food for oil program. That included hundreds of thousands of bags and boxes of sugar, soap, baby formula and other supplies. "He was sitting on it, not distributing it to the people who, if you look around, really need it," Linnington said. The troops plan to hold the food and turn it over to new civilian authorities once they are established to distribute it.
This part of the story needs to broadcast far and wide.

I agree. There has been scant great story-telling coming out of those embeds. Lots of "we're here" "we did this" video reporting, but no great tales of these kind of details that ought to be read by the folks back home. I'm surprised this is coming out of an Oakland paper.
