I'm sitting here and the adrenaline is draining away. The naysayers and party poopers are saying "yes, but..." and "we have to wait and see...". My arms and hands are starting to shake from the excitement and the emotion. D*mn, man, we were here today to witness this. We may not be in the fight. We may not be veterans. We may be nothing more than voyeurs on history, but we saw this and we can remember. We must remember. We must cheer those who stood there for us. Never forget. We saw history. We saw freedom.
