I just saw a report on this man on CNN, Bob Franken was the reporter. The people of the village were cheering the US troops and even put a wreath of flowers on one of them! Hopefully it will run again in 2-3 hours.

There's also an article on this in the National Post. I like his quote in the last paragraph: "While coalition officials hope the Free Iraqi Forces will form the basis of the next Iraqi army, Mr. Al-Emeri dismissed a leadership role for himself. "It's up to the people, it's democratic," he said."
