I heard it, but the impression I got from Bill-O was that this wasn't really heartfelt.
O'Reilly has never been a "journalist", altho he loves to spin the opposite with his little references to being a war correspondent in some Banana Republic. He's a tabloid boy, with his real roots springing from "Inside Edition".

There is nothing wrong with helping a dead mans kids. Nothing at all. I would rather see that than a donation to the some other things. You see that in obits all the time.
Reporters and media types should help out at times like that. That is what it is all about. Right?
