Someone do the math. They are saying the hotel was hit on the 15th floor. An M1 main tank gun can only elevate so far. How far away would the M1 have to be to hit the 15th floor with direct fire? However far, it would have to be even farther away if it were main gun indirect fire by a tank.

30 degrees elevation from tank body (assume on level ground, 15th floor (assume 10ft per floor) that would put minimum range (assuming flat trajectory) at 80m away (260ft)
