It wasn't much to see. A bird could have flown into that wall and knocked the plaster off there, wind could if it was loose.

It's horrible what happened to these people, they didn't deserve this. But they also shouldn't be contributing anything at the moment unless it is a proven fact and it's too early for anything to be a fact.
