I started to mention Allstate as having claim practices as sleazy as State Farm's, if not worse. They are the two worst companies in property/casualty lines to have a claim with. Might as well skip the preliminarys and sue as soon as you see their name. Scratch that, give them some rope to hang themselves first and record and/or make good records of every contact.
