The palace CNN was showing inside was in basra. The palace being shown on FoxNews, live right now (6:36 AM EDT), is in downtown Baghdad.
This smells like "end game" for the city of Baghdad, to me. Holy cow!
So:
- coalition has two palaces in Baghdad
- Chemical Ali confirmed dead, by FoxNews (Shep cited three sources for this fact)
- A preliminary report of WMD detected in downtown Baghdad (a stash found by coalition forces)
- A Saddam statue in Baghdad blew up due to coalition hijinks
