The statue appears to be sitting on a 25-30 foot pedestal though. Going to need some heavy machinery to take it down. Na... just a blast or two with heavy ordinance.

Ross's comments are pure speculation, based on no more than his imagination. We are trying to calm the legitimate fears of the Iraqi people. I know that this admin. would never give these people false hope, based on 1991 and comments made by SOD Rumsfeld during the first Basrah uprisings (don't - until we say it's safe). Therefore, they must know that conditions are safe enough to encourage the people to rise up. I believe they know Saddam's dead. They need to convince the people. Ross's inciting fear based on simple fantasy is not helpful. I question his motives.
