Let's hope that we see the rescue of all of our POWs very soon!

Yeah: we could have used a FReeper alarm system... I noticed several who were not there who would certainly have wanted to be (including you)... one or two had just said G'nite about the time things really started popping, too.

Last night, I couldn't get over the amount of traffic that can be seen on the Bag-Cam during "rush hour". If a liberating force were waging war in my city to free my country of an evil regime, I would think my boss would have employees stay home rather than going in to work at the cleaners/mechanic shop/restaurant/pharmacy/bakery--no time to make the donuts.

EXciting day here in Central Alabama. Our Sirens are getting more of a work out than Baghdad's. Currently under the 4th Tornado Warning since 3AM, and two more lines of big storms coming on the radar.. yehaw - springtime in the south.

1st Battalion 4th Marines. River crossing without bridge. People cheering, waving, and looting as Marines arrive in this section of Baghdad. Entire company crosses.

Arnott reporting amphibious assault in east baghdad by Marines. Those whacky marines. Playing in the water during a quagmire.
To: dsw
Seems the Iraqis forgot the Marines are used to water.

Sky News guy at Belfast discussing the disagreements over post-war Iraq and UN role. Talked about Jay Garner.
Oh, and in the middle of all this, Sky Flash: 2 guys found guilty of cheating on "Millionaire."

All I have to say is stay safe.

Looking at the picture on your post 2633, I would just like to comment on the furniture in the palace, which for all non-decorating types is FRENCH design! How appropriate!

Prayers to you, your wife, and your daughter-in-law, sir. Hopefully you will receive another call from him soon. I know that my anxiety about this war pales in comparison to your family's and other families who have loved ones fighting for our freedoms. Millions are praying for you all.

american forces shoot at any car or anything that gets near the US positions. An American reporter needs to be fired. For the record...our military men and women are risking their lives to free the people of another nation and did more humanitarian good than all the pretentious pundits and NGOs have done for the Iraqi people. UN, BBC, CNN, Red Cross and Amnesty International, WH, Pentagon and CENTCOM press corps...show the least bit of gratitude and shut up while we take care of this mess!

Thank you for your thoughts, our guys over there face dangers many of us could never envision. No matter what happens or what anyone says, this is a just war.

I must disagree with BagCamAddict. ONLY accept news about your kin from official sources. There are some nasty creatures in this world who would think it great fun to use this forum to send a worried mom a FALSE report. Very good point. (I just copyied Eastforker's initial request for info and made it big enough to be seen easily.)
Eastforker: I'm sure your Son will contact you as soon as he is able to get the word out. In chaotic times like that, I'm sure they don't realize how quickly the new gets back to us. So he is probably focused on his brothers and sisters, and on continuing to do his job. Be proud, and have faith that he is OK but very busy.

Stay safe!
We got an instant replay of winter here, very sloppy, slushy!
It was close to 80 last week!
