Rebecca Gomez on FNC just repeated her statement that Iraq claims to have fired 5 missiles on Coalition troops just outside the city. Nothing about Baghdad Bob - maybe he got fired from his spokesman job.

He sure deserves it.
Has anybody besides me noticed that Arnot seems to SPEED TALK during his reports, like he has so much to say he HAS to get it all in?

Did you hear Dr. Bob say that the republican guard base in the area has cases and cases of food from the UN, which was from the Oil for Food program and was to go to people like these children?
Instead it's been winding up being used by the guard.
Why am I not surprised?

actually, theres a road there, I think it's just headlights. must be a roadblock down there, as they are spaced out pretty evenly.

Agree with that. They think that we worship Bush like they worshipped (feared) Saddam.
They don't understand the concept of four year terms. The respect is for the office, not the man. It helps if you can respect the man too.
This will be a hard thing for the Iraqis to unlearn, if they want good government.

After that boom .. did they just ask each other if they wer ok? couldn't tell but they certainly sounded agitated.
To: Howlin
LOL ... he does talk fast doesn't he

I came in just at the end of the report, but the woman on Fox a few minutes ago said Baghdad Bob was finally admitting that American troops are IN BAGHDAD!

Yes, but that report is written by reporters, not doctors. The earlier post is correct - IF he had a leg injury, that injury occurred during a conflict, so therefore it would be combat related. But yes, the possibility of a leg injury was an example of how someone could get a blood clot that could later kill you.
An injury to your leg can indeed turn into a pulmonary embolism. When my sister was sixteen and I was nineteen one summer we were playing around outside barefoot.
Just chasing around the yard and my sister stepped on some kind of metal pipe that cut her ankle. My brother tried to doctor it but she wouldn't let him. About a week later, her calf started really hurting and swelled. We took her to the hospital and she was diagnosed with a blood clot in her leg.
They put her on blood thinners (giving her shots in her stomach, very painful) and put some kind of heat light around her leg. Eventually the blood clot dissolved.
We were really spooked by it because my parents had named my sister after my mother's best friend, who died of a blood clot at the age of 28. So,an injury to your leg can definitely lead to a blood clot.

One other thing I heard a few minutes ago, that the British commander in the Basrah area was saying.
That Chemical Ali's closest bodyguard was found in the wreckage of that villa, so they're now trying to find any trace of Ali himself there.
Hope they got him.
