NBC NEWS: CHEMICAL ALI KILLED IN IRAQ RAID

NBC News is reporting that F-16s dropped two precision-guided bombs on the residence of "Chemical" Ali just south of Basra. The Pentagon is telling them that they believe Ali was in his home at the time and was killed during the strike. They caution that they need to have confirmation on the ground to be sure, but it sounds like a good hit!

I'll be really happy when it is confirmed that we have hit Tariq Aziz and that smarmy Minister of Information.

You can have Aziz, but we need the Minister Of Information. He will host "Weekend Update" on Saturday Night Live after the war.

Tommy Daschle's hiding these days. I'm enjoying not seeing him in the morning, noon and evening. If Tom Daschle had a cd, I'd smash it in a parking lot.

Actually I hear he is quite giddy nowadays. We finally have Government Screeners at Baghdad Airport. Wife Linda is already pressuring the FAA to install L3 Communications X-ray machines there as well.

After all, the DemocRATs have done everything they could to make sure there were no American weapons going thru that airport.

They never really minded French, Russian, German or Chinese weapons there, however.

"Al-Majid is Saddam Hussein's hatchet man," Kenneth Roth, head of Human Rights Watch in New York, said at the time. "He has been involved in some of Iraq's worst crimes, including genocide and crimes against humanity."

Hazem al-Youssefi, Cairo representative of the opposition Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, described al-Majid as a standout in a regime of criminals.

He was no less brutal with his own family.

His nephew and Saddam's son-in-law, Lt. Gen. Hussein Kamel, was in charge for many years of Iraq's clandestine weapons programs before defecting in 1995 to Jordan with his brother, Saddam Kamel, who was married to Saddam's other daughter.

Both brothers were lured back to Iraq in February 1996 and killed on their uncle's orders, together with several other family members.

P.S. did any of the folks here indicate to you that "his children" are NOT already grown? I believe they are. That is, any of his "children" he hasn't already killed.
