I just saw that video of Saddam again. Something had been bugging me about it and I just figured out what it was. His mustache (may a pox be upon it) is always much darker than it is in that video.

I think it is him, but from either the first gulf war, or the bombing campaign in '98

Yes, I also notice the gray mustache, including in the video from the first night of the war. There's no way he's going to walk around in public--too easy to shoot him, and he's too paranoid for that.

Like they said yesterday in one of the briefings.... it doesn't matter if he's alive or dead, his days are numbered.

The videos do look strange. If he is infact alive and was out inspiring his serfs on the streets, why does he send his minister of disinformation instead of a live broadcast? There are plenty of journalists that would give their front row seat in hell to be in the room when he appears. Besides, many of them feel great sympathy for him too.
