Someone spotted an Iraqi (probably fedayeen) on top of a farm building using flag signals to another unit. Last night, Mo saw, several times, flags in round about; Mo was thinking the flags (and horns honking) were being used as some kind of signal....this was occurring just about the time when Greg Kelly and Ollie had entered the city

They have to communicate some way--we've taken away just about everything else. Flags are a bit primitive, but they do work for a while. It does mean the sender and receiver have to be in a line of sight and are exposed. It also means that we can read what they're sending & receiving, even if they're using code.
