No, this is a new press strategy by the Pentagon. If you have a big story and the press doesn't really emphasize it, you wait a couple of days and put it out as new news, because reporters have memoroies like fleas and won't know the difference.

Seriously, I never saw an actual story claiming he was dead. Lots of supposition by reporters. Maybe the Pentagon acted like he was dead so that Ali would think he was safe.

On this subject, did anyone see the Futurama episode with the cast of the old trek series?? hilarity, they couldn;t get the gu who played scotty (he's dead I think) so they replaced him with a guy named "Welshie" who was the same charachter but from Wales instead of scotland
