The whole double thing is nonsense -- propaganda for US public consumption. Saddam uses body doubles as security for personal appearances. He doesn't use them for TV addresses, nor could he, anymore than President Bush could use a double.

Actually, German technicians have confirmed that Sadaam has been using doubles on TV for over 5 years, and reported last year that there was not a single public appearance in over 3 years that actually was Sadaam.
