I'd say trenches, too....but do we hear "booms" when they're lighting off the trenches?
A reporter on Fox --in Baghdad-- just said there are no armed emplacements visible in the city. Even the sandbagged emplacements are EMPTY today, unlike days before.
This gets wierder and wierder.

I am wondering if they have bugged out for TIKRIT - That is Saddam's home town and sort of the "Tribal Capital" for the Baathists.
Also, we have been very very quiet about activity in Tikrit - instead centering on Baghdad, Mosul, Basra. Maybe we are letting them all center themselves there where they can be isolated.

They've either boogied *somewhere*, or they're in waiting for us. But it's definitely weird. I can't imagine Saddam et al would just leave Baghdad open for us, undefended.
