I watch FNC on DIRECTV ch 360, and I can get closed captioning anytime I want! Weekdays, weekends, anytime! I don't think FNC is the problem. If you're on cable, maybe you're provider is doing something with the cc to preserve bandwidth. Bottom line, GET A DISH!

Bottom line, I got a dish!! Direct TV. It's on channel 360. So what gives? Would love to know so I can fix it. This is also happening to another deaf freeper so it's not just me. Thanks!! Sounds encouraging. Sounds like I can do something about it.

I have an RCA HDTV (I know, I won't buy Thomson/RCA/Scenium ever again) and it can be set up so the cc comes on automatically whenever I hit the 'mute' button. Great when the phone rings. (another BOOM on BagCam)

From FNC FAQ:

7. Does FOX News Channel provide closed captioning?
We do! Closed Captioning is now available for both daytime and primetime shows.
