Not quite the same situation as the Dixie Chicks. The core audience for the Dixie Chicks (and country music in general) is overwhelmingly conservative. Country music, NASCAR and air shows are sort of in the same category. You would get a real ass-kicking if you showed up with a "No Blood for Oil" T-shirt at any one of those events.
On the other hand, Pearl Jam's core audience is from the big cities - the "red" areas, if you know what I mean. Most of the audience will eat that anti-Bush stuff up.

Pearl Jam supported Ralph Nader in the 2002 Election. They are Greenpeace scum that is typical of the anti-America movement. This wasn't a huge surprise but for him to say it this late in the game, makes me think Eddie Vedder just woke from a drug induced coma.

It won't hurt pearl jam as much as it hurt the Dixi Chicks because their markets are much different.
