Hack has consistently been wrong about our capabilities since Mogadishu. I wonder if that didn't hit him as hard as it did Les Aspin? Les Aspin was hit hard by the losses? That is news to me.

Les Aspin was hit hard by the losses? That is news to me. He dropped dead of a heart attack at 55. I think it was guilt that did it.

Everyone is so willing and able to criticize everything Hackworth says, including, I suppose, his use of the words "the" and "and" without giving thought to anything he says. It's all or nothing. So you don't credit the article. Is there nothing of value in it? Why tear the man down for giving an opinion? Even fools have some good ideas now and then, and I don't consider Col Hackworth a fool, just old, like me, but with a great deal more experience.
