It's a sign of emotional times. With the Pentagon doing their rope-a-dope, woe is us disinfo campaign, this has been the first real good news received. I don't care if she was grabbed frozen with fright or if she fought off a 100 Iraqis with a slingshot made out of her bra. All that matters is we got her back.
But again it's emotional. Some of the people will always get swept away in it. It doesn't make them bad people. But it's still a bit raw and new....that feeling will subside to reasonable levels soon.
True, but it does make them susceptible to other more intensive propaganda that may not be very healthy for them or for our nation.
I think this may be a case in point where it shows just how powerful the media is and how, if we're not careful, it could lead us down the wrong path.
