Hmm, what's that "NO personal attacks" message at the bottom of the "Posting comment" screen? You don't obey the rules, do you?

Well, why did she need surgery?

Fractures; no feeling in her legs. The report I read said they operated on her back.

Kevin, today she had surgery on the herniated/fractured disk (I seen both reported) in her back. She'll be undergoing surgery on her legs tomorrow.

They aren't going to be bringing her back to the states until she's stable enough to be moved.

That's smart. We have excellent medical facilities at Landstuhl.

I've been reading personal attacks all day. The Ad Mon is very selective.

That was on the news quite a bit, actually. Here's just one article about it:

POW cheered; details emerge of firing until capture

Last week, U.S. forces came across another hospital that was being used as an Iraqi base. Marines inspecting it found two bloody uniforms, possibly from female soldiers, with their names and U.S. flag patches removed. They also discovered a battery, possibly used as a torture device, inside a room next to a metal cot. U.S. military officials have not confirmed whether the evidence was connected to the 507th unit. The hospital was reportedly the site where Iraqi soldiers interrogated the five prisoners of war from Lynch's unit.

This may be the greatest advance in US military history since Sherman sliced through Georgia.

Are we promising anybody 40 acres and a mule this time?

Patton at one time was attacking in all four cardinal directions in July-August, 1944.
