This is probably a really stupid question, I know, but it's something I have been wondering about.

Bats eat bugs, right? Well, do they really have a whole lot of bugs in the desert for the bats to eat? I live in the midwest and was under the impression that there aren't a whole lot of bugs in the desert.

Did you ever read The Bat Poet by Maurice Sendack? It's lovely. Bats would not be on Saddam's side....except the rabid ones, imho.
