If you are intending to speak to folks about the President's National security policy, I suggest that you take a look at the following documents:

President Bush Delivers Graduation Speech at West Point - June 1, 2002

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/06/20020601-3.html

and

The National Security Strategy of the United States of America

http://www.whitehouse.gov/nsc/nss.html

The administration's philosophy and policy is more accurately described as the "Liberty Doctrine". The lamestream media has attempted to belittle it by calling it a "doctrine of pre-emption", but that is a gross mischaracterization, as you will note if you look into those documents. Preemption may fit into it, but it is not at all the meat and potatoes of the Bush Doctrine.

I might suggest that it would be useful for you to bookmark these and check into them later when there is more time for perusal. Actually, the speech is fairly easy, and (as usual) a Bush home run and you may wish to look at it now. The Strategy paper is far more complex, and not a quick read.

AAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!

TELL ME! TELL ME! TELL ME!

MSNBC has had the same car circling the same fountain in downtown Baghdad for the last hour. I got so desperate I switched to the House of Representatives for a little action.

That was wonderful AFP.. I saw it first time around & emailed it & some other related things out this AM in my "propaganda" mailings. It is touching.

Just got back .. trying to catch up a bit on postings.. Started at end & moving back to 6 PM..

Need to sleep tonigh so I am counting on the "regular night shift" to keep things going.

Good job poser..4000 - not sure what this honor will mean . .. but surely some type of duct tape medal, no? to be used for symbolic postings? Perhaps with the finalities of this campaign you may yet add another benchmark to this list you already have. Should look impressive on any future resume, no?

Somebody stuck Saddam's head in a toy tank? Cool. Heh heh.

Are we there yet?

Me 2!

I can't imagine going to bed with all this new footage rolling in....and footage like we haven't seen up to now! They seem thoroughly unconcerned now about showing landmarks and topography.

I'm gonna have to move a 2nd TV in here!

Except that Theoden in this case is the USA, not Saddam. Saddam would fit better into the role of Saruman. Stand by for the Ents to go strolling by on the BagCam. :-)

Two strong candidates for Wormtongue here

Good Morning!

Getting the day 16 Thread ready- - looks like it was a busy nicht >4500 posts (and poser got 4000!!).

No way I can catch up before I go to work...

From what I gather:

Press is still, well, the press.
Liberty International Airport will start regular flights soon
Mr. Quag Mire is offically MIA.
Saddam is still DOFN.
Massive protests by the Iraqis against the coalition ("Thank You, Thanky You. Bush, Bush, Bush")
