That reporter that asked about the F-18 asked if he could confirm it had been shot down by a patriot! Where did she get that info? and he didn't specifically say she was wrong, did he? He just said they are still investigating and it could have come down by many different means and would release their findings when investigation is done.

I have heard any speculation anywhere else that it was a patriot that shot it down. Has anyone else?

Al-Jihadi just asked Gen. Brooks if he could confirm we were within 10 KM of Baghdad and Saddam International Airport. He also asked for videotape of the destruction of the Republican guard.

Brooks -- would not give away operational details. and that Republican Guard -- we'll wait and see.

Brooks: Omar I won't disclose where the forces are. We are in close proximity of B-dad. As to damage to RG, time will tell what damage has been inflicted. Not an exact science. More an art. We remain cautiously optimistic.

I haven't heard that a Patriot took that F18 out, but it is certainly true that our armament is the most deadly armament on the battlefield to us. I took the question as a "flier".
