It is sad to see New Zealand led by such a dolt as she. Both NZ and Australia have been good allies over the years.

When did NZ take a dive politically?

There was that stuff with the nuclear free zone a few years ago. Maybe NZ figures that if they keep a low profile, no one will bother them.

Sad, but not surprising.  New Zealand, you'll recall, is the country
who refused the US Navy docking there unless we declared
each ship to be nuclear-free.  This pretty well destroyed ANZUS.
