You got me...wonder if the briefing was shortened as they were annoyed with the press breaking the embargo...they might have needed to tell families of other POWS they hadn't gotten them yet before the press conference...

why the clumsy one line press briefing? Probably as a way of expressing dissatisfaction with certain networks that ran their mouths and broke the story before centcom was read... "Oh, so you already reported it? Well, fine, then you got dragged out of bed for a one-line statement. Take that, blabbermouths..."
