To: Delta 21
I think it's a fantastic idea, although I would imagine a lot of country stars wouldn't be able to do the show because of contract problems. The recording label might pressure a singer NOT to do the show. But heck, even if it was some unknown band as long as it was a counter DC concert I'd like to see it packed.

FWIW I find it amusing yet sad that the station I work at (WSHH 99.7FM Pittsburgh an AC station targeting 35-54 yo women) has ADDED.....YES ADDED the DC "Travelin' Soldier" to the playlist as just about every other station across the country DROPPED it.

When it comes up on my shift I drop it, or if it sneaks on the air while I'm busy doing production I just ignore it and move on.

While the move does make >some< sense in this gawd awful business I can't believe more people haven't called in or emailed to complain about having the song on our playlist.

That's www.wshh.com... and the email is on the page somewhere...
