Peter, I don't trust NBC to do the right thing, ever.
Even I knew you were going to be fired. I knew it within minutes of seeing clips of the interview. And I can prove it .

You know, I don't believe he is deliberately lying. He is simply delisional, a victim of his own "fantasy ideology", to use the Lee Harris created term.

Some reporters make judgements but that is not my style. I present both sides and report what I see with my own eyes. There is none so blind as he who will not see.
His "apology" this morning (though I did not hear it) was in no way an apology as is apparent from this piece. Lord Haw-Haw and Tokyo Rose, meet Baghdad Pete.

Shut-up PeTHA.

They don't want credible news organisations reporting from here because it presents them with enormous problems. Credible news organizations? I thought we were talking about Peter Arnett and MSNBC?
To: ladysusan
And yet the man made an abject apology on NBC today. I might add, what right wing press? I have heard plenty of questions asked by reporters from organizations such as CNN, and they are not just questions, but insinuations bordering on hostile. Gotta love the left....the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy strikes again!!

Yes Peter. NBC, The Right Wing Media, talk radio, free republic, the kid who took your lunch money in grade school - it's our fault. You're just a little angel. Don't bother to reflect on how you f'ked up.
To: ladysusan
His "We had to destroy the town to save it" comment is a lie. No evidence it was ever said, and the guy he claims said it strongly denies it.

The "Mirror" is a good name for it; it is a vain audience of one that reads it. Useless traitor!

Too bad the "Bang" he claims ended his NBC career wasn't literal.
This idiot actually has such a towering ego, he seriously believes he's the only one who knows what is really going on, even though he was sheltered inside Baghdad, far away from the US-led troops, has no access to the Pentagon or its war planners, and his only source of info was professional liars from Saddam's corrupt regime. He deserved to be fired, not just for being the modern equivalent of Tokyo Rose, but for being possibly the stupidest, most incompetent person ever to claim to be a journalist, and my God, does that cover a lot of territory. It's no wonder the Mirror hired him.

Why don't we all agree not to post any Benedict Arnett stories. You know what he's gonna say beforehand. Let the DUmmies post his tommyrot. Regards.

Oh Peter, just shut up and go away. I'll bet there is at least one position in the Iraqi propaganda machine you can fill.
Oh, by the way Peter, knee pads are sold in most sporting goods stores.

Arnett's still trying to milk the Vietnam glory for what little it is still worth. I must have missed the references to Operation Tailwind. Surely he meant to bring up that little affair to enhance his...credibility?

Didn't take long for the Peter Boyle look-a-like to get back on, huh?...gotta get back to Savage now.
