It was just reported on my Detroit area ABC local 5 o'clock news that the Pentagon ordered Geraldo out of Iraq.

Lord love a duck, are we ever going to learn the true story?

I think your local news is way behind the power curve here.

just vaguely remembered from my hs French, and that was many many moons ago...
Has anyone seen Geraldo on Fox lately? I took a nap so I can stay up late tonight to watch the events, but notice he hasn't been on, and he usually is during this hour of Fox?
Aside from the report on NPR, which some have found a questionable source, I haven't heard from any other news outlet whether Geraldo is with the 101st...

With all kinds of rumors circulating about Geraldo, one of which I was responding to, my comment was simply to say what was going out over the local news airwaves.
To: jacquej
On local radio KFYI, they just said that Geraldo was being kicked out of Iraq. Did not cite a source.

You know this really is insane. I expected to hear all day of the comments regarding Arnett, and what are we hearing on the other channels that Geraldo is in some kind of trouble.
I've had my tv on FOX all day and have not heard one account from the US military person regarding Rivera.

Rita Cosby is a damn good reporter. She is well connected and has earned her mark. Agree..she has some credible inside sources. Thus well respected, as you state. f_t_d

MSNBC reported that the PENTAGON has asked Geraldo to leave the embedded field of the 101st.
The source was about an hour ago that I saw and heard on MSNBC...but some say they have been reporting it all day.
I don't have a clue who or what to believe.

Has anyone seen Geraldo on Fox lately? Yes, all day.
To: spectre
I tell you this, if he has been asked to leave, as MSNBC and CNN have been reporting all day long, and the United States military isn't able to extract ONE reporter from its midst after 24 hours, this war is doomed.

I saw him around noon, then in the early afternoon, but haven't seen him since then. I felt his statements last night about where the unit was going to go next were inappropiate, and have been quite vocal about it today.
I realize that Geraldo has many fans, but I am not one of them.
Having had two sons in harm's way, I would rather have my sons come home safe than be able to hear them say "hi, Mom" on TV.

Speaking of the networks.: It is now 6:28 p.m., Monday, March 31. In two or three minutes ABC, CBS and NBC networks will be on with the evening news. I will bet anyone a dollar to a doughnut at least two of the three will lead with the Iraqis women and children killed at the checkpoint after their van refused to stop. That is the way the networks are reporting this war. The turds!
To: Howlin
Yeah. Obviously CNN was reporting this all day (I woke up & they were reporting it), but then the fog of war set in & everybody, including CNN, started to question it. Who knows? I just think it's great fun watching CNN, MSNBC & FOX go after each other like Shiites in a Sunni C&W Bar. Like Bikers on Jihad. I do thank you for referring me to that live thread. I have always been so intimidated by those thousand poster extravaganzas. Now I realize they are just as fun as the little modest threads I usually frequent. Cheers, Howlin'!
