Yep. Her voice is concerning. I'm quite sure she inhales a tiny amount of helium before every broadcast.

We must not be following the same link or I misspelled Geraldo in my search.

He must not have been cast out then.
But you know, I do not believe that CNN or MSNBC, despite their politics, would stoop so low as to make up a story like that. Perhaps the Pentagon initially wanted to do it, but later changed its mind.

"avoirdupois"??
Bye later???

avoir= to have, posess...... not au revoir
I can't remember what dupois means.

Perhaps the Pentagon initially wanted to do it, but later changed its mind. Perhaps the officer being quoted by CNNBC tried to have it done and was overruled. Lots of possibilities. Fog of war, etc.

despues in Spanish or depois in Portugese means "later or afterward"..
I speak both of those fairly well.....especially the latter.
I assume the lady meant "to possess or have(maybe?) later or...behind"....I assume it's vernacular....like "baby's got back"
My French is horrible....I can order food or read a Bordeaux label.....that's about it.
Thanks

puis= later
pois= peas
I think it is a term alluding to being overweight abut a literal translation looks like, "to have of peas"...LOL
Hey, french translator needed! :)

MSNBC is still reporting Geraldo's demise as of 3PM Eastern. If the story is not true they will again have fabricated a self serving story. Who watches them anyway?
That's my point!

I am pretty sure that it was a dirty trick. I have seen Geraldo's reporting and it seems good. Maybe he got smart.

From Dictionary.com:
avoirdupois
3. Weight; heaviness; as, a woman of much avoirdupois. [Colloq.]

Maybe they have and FOX has yet to report it as they're desperately trying to patch it up.

Geraldo offered to take the Commanders of the 101st to see Al Capone's vault after the war to save his job.

"I NEVER rely on Drudge anymore!".... nor do I, but mostly because he is LITERALLY days behind on impt. newsworthy stuff now. Unless it's about "Jacko" (lol), Madonna or George Clooney (what IS his obsession with Clooney?), he is just not on top of the ball with what's happening.And with all the agressive pop-ups on his site (&, am I paranoid, the SPAM!), it's an excercize in masochism to go there anymore. Sad.

DH just came up from his office (in the basement) and said it was on the radio... NPR, I think he said.

"I find the tendecy for peoples blind faith in FOX just because it is FOX disturbing. QUESTION EVERYTHING" I agree with you (I grew up with that "question Authority" button pinned to my bra-strap, too!). And I really did expect that once the war started that CNN would clean FOX's clock because they just didn't have the experienced personnel to pull it off - like what happened when Columbia crashed and the only person on ANY network, broadcast OR cable who had his sh*t together was CNN's Miles O'Brien.) But lo & behold, Fox has really (I'm SHOCKED!) been putting everybody else to shame with the quality & accuracy of their info - obviously their military contacts are topnotch. For whatever reason, CNN has chosen to show non-stop coverage of pro-fascist protests in Haight- Ashbury and Fox, amazingly enough, is going out there and getting the real story. I have been totally surprised by this, as I suspect objective media critics have as well.
