I did give him a break, and so did I give Greta a chance. I watched his reporting last night, and he gave way more info than he should have, and more, in my opinion, than the "consultant generals" with the screen writers.

Just because Fox is better than the others, doesn't mean we cut them slack when they mess up.

I remember when my kids demanded I cut them some slack for some infraction of the rules when they were teenagers. Their argument was that they were good students, didn't get in trouble, and we were lucky to have such decent kids compared to what they could be like... yada, yada!

They still got the parental lectures, and grounded. We expected them to live up to certain standards, and that was that. I expect Fox to live up to certain standards, and feel that it is appropriate to call a journalist when he slips over the line.

I guess we are arguing over where the line should be, for I will not cut Fox slack just because they are better than NBC and CNN.

And what inside info do you have that you can make this determination! Nothing. You have no idea whether he was told to put out the information, whether it was intended to be "slightly inaccurate" or whatever. All you know is nothing.

I saw Jerry Rivers' report on Fox last night - live, from the 101st in Iraq. He went to his "desert telestrator" (drawing diagrams in the sand) and gave away troop positions, plans, and such. It was easy to believe that DoD sent him packing like they did the Christian Science Monitor journalist who was giving away secrets. I'm shocked that DoD has NOT sent him home and that Fox has not fired him for that report.

I don't want to overlook FOX -- but I think the expectation for them to be on our side 100% of the time is a bit much. They are on our side more than not -- which is 180 degrees than any other network.

If a FOX reporter does an Arnett then he should be fired and tried for treason. Gerlado didn't do an Arnett. He didn't even give out too much information according to the military. For all we know the military asked him to do it and give the wrong idea to the enemy.

I trust the military to get rid of people if they screw up -- and Geraldo is still there -- so what does that tell you?
