I was wondering how long Geraldo would last.
His heart may be in the right place (with the troops), but he just can't contain himself...

He was clearly warned of the restrictions that came with being an "embed." Oh well he won't be missed.

That's a far more accurate assessment than some of the adolescent snickering going on in this thread.

His heart may be in the right place...Geraldo only has room in his heart for one thing...
Geraldo!

His heart may be in the right place (with the troops), but he just can't contain himself...Actually, I like Geraldo and have enjoyed his reports. He allowed the soldiers to say hello to their family and friends back home. He seemed to be a little giddy last night and had a much too cavalier attitude about the seriousness of what the 101st Airborne are doing over there. You stated it well though. His heart may be in the right place... I agree.

I think his heart wants only to be in the center of attention.

Giving exclusives is what is in his blood I think, and ultimately his downfall in this case since he wanted to give out info nobody else was.

"His heart may be in the right place (with the troops), but he just can't contain himself..."I can't help but agree with you, much as I surprise myself these days by even thinking this way about Geraldo.
I see a sincere effort on his part to come over from "the Dark Side". He clearly feels for these guys he's in the field with, and his support for them cannot be questioned. I truly believe his heart was definitely in the right place.......but as you said, he gets a bit overly enthusiastic and engages in a bit of grandstanding. That can be forgiven readily, unless it (inadvertently or otherwise) possibly compromises the efforts of our forces in combat.
I'm sure he feels like warmed-over s**t about it, but I'll bet he'll also be the first to admit to the mistake. Like him or not, you must admit the guy's a pro.
I feel sorry for 'im on this one.
