This treasonous incident will follow him the rest of his life, as well it should. His actions are unforgivable.

He has been a staunch cheerleader for the men in uniform. He sure is that. But he's still a self promoting buffoon with a grossly inflated sense of self worth. Comtrast his staged publicity events (a bunch of troops lined up as a backdrop behind him) the straight up, just the facts, reporting of Greg Kelly and Rick Leventhal.
Let the little twerp cheerlead from Kuwait or something, where he can't violate opsec.

Dang, some LT should've stepped in and interrupted his broadcast with a folding chair to the bridge of his nose!

I didn't see any terrible security breach.when i was watching him last night i thought he was getting awfully close to the line, describing how we intended to attack the town outside of which he was standing.

It's really too bad. He's just too much of a hot-dog.
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it was just irrepressible enthusiasm.

I agree that Fox needs to apologize for Geraldo's antics. Keeping silent diminishes them. Didn't see the map he drew, but I was struck by the report he gave yesterday evening when he said they were 120 miles south of Baghdad. Even I knew that was a breech of the embedded reporters agreement. But I disagree with those who don't like the embedding of reporters. I think this has been a brilliant way to let the public see what our forces have to contend with and has made the difference in the public's perception of this conflict.

Wow. What an idiot. He has a liason officer right there with him to clear anything he wants to say and he ran his yapper anyways. So much for the 101st having to drag that deadweight around with them. I guess the media is learning the difference between a Clinton war (Kosovo) and a real ground pounding war. Now if they can just boot CNN out totally.

We all know full well that the socalled experts on TV don't know their a$$ from their elbow. Whorealdo is right there giving information to the enemy, jeopardising lives.

So I guess he did go too far last night!
I missed the report that caused the hubbub here, but I saw the thread.

I enjoyed Geraldo talking one-on-one with the troops. I hope he can still do that. I know the families back home look forward to these interviews.

Geraldo is just an x-CNN idiot.geraldo was never at cnn. he was at msnbc following the collapse of his own syndicated shows, which in turn followed his firing from abc over something that had to do with white powder.

He pained me to watch him say "Dont call me sir, im a private"... Stupid man. I saw that. The man has no idea when he's insulting the man he's interviewing. Refusing to accept his respect and then elevating himsekf to the role of a military man.
He has serious interpersonal communication problems, stemming from from an inability to consider the other person's thoughts.

How quick we all have been to forget that Whoraldo and Greta were perhaps the two most offensive left wing fanatics on TV. They both were unwatchable as they stood for everything Clinton. Money talks and we've all been so happy with the new "conservative" versions. Perhaps Geraldo will go to CNN and become anti-war (again). Then we can all hate him (again).

Man! You're like *White on Rice* with these good news scoops today! FReegards.

Geraldo is not an anti-American traitor like Peter Arnett, but he IS a publicity-seeking, loudmouthed prima donna, and I was wondering just how long it would take him to give away strategic information that might endanger US troops and operational movements.
I think you've got that right. Arnett was giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Geraldo was just letting his stupid ego do the talking. No excuse. It's good he's fired and FOX should loudly and sincerely apologize, but there is a difference between a traitor and an idiot. Geraldo is just an idiot.
