People jumped the gun on ole Jerry, and egg on face is the order of the day. I agree with you. Perhaps some crow may go well with the eggs.

I did give him a break, and so did I give Greta a chance. I watched his reporting last night, and he gave way more info than he should have, And what inside info do you have that you can make this determination! Nothing. You have no idea whether he was told to put out the information, whether it was intended to be "slightly inaccurate" or whatever. All you know is nothing.

Apologize to Geraldo? How quickly we forget the first black eye he gave to foxnews last year, during the intensive American bombing in Afghanistan, when he went on Fox News and claimed to be standing on hallowed ground near Kandahar where U.S. Servicemen and Afghan rebels died from friendly fire. But no hallowed ground existed where Geraldo walked. No bodies littered the landscape.
He's the same serious journalist who came to the Washington area to report on the sniper case and, instead, spent the evening autographing the butts of Hooters waitresses.
He's a sham pretending to be a journalist.

Why would CENTCOM tell CNN before telling FOX?Psyops? Or somebody decided to have a little fun. It's pretty funny.

This is Hugh
AND Geraldo.
To: cinFLA
I should have added "in my humble opinion", of course. Last time I checked, I am entitled to one, as are you.

Watch..this will trun out to be a "dirty trick" started by a few of the intelligence NCO's in the unit..they thought that if they got Geraldo ashcanned, Fox might send out either Lauire, or Patti Ann, or Kirin ias a replacement...The boys just want to get "embedded"

Am I a wierdo? I never read of anyone's praise for Heather Nauert. In my opinion, she's the best looking of the bunch!

I saw Jerry Rivers' report on Fox last night - live, from the 101st in Iraq. He went to his "desert telestrator" (drawing diagrams in the sand) and gave away troop positions, plans, and such. It was easy to believe that DoD sent him packing like they did the Christian Science Monitor journalist who was giving away secrets. I'm shocked that DoD has NOT sent him home and that Fox has not fired him for that report.

actually, cnn was the first to carry it. nice conspiracy otherwise, though. LOL....I see you enjoy whine with your crow.
To: cinFLA
Perhaps you should stick to the facts and quit "perhapsing".
Read your own post. My first thought on hearing about Geraldo was to wonder if his "infraction" was deliberate disinformation. I dont think there are any "facts" available right now except that Fox is reporting that he is broadcasting live.

Sorry I can't remember who posted the fact that FOX did not report that their reporters had been kicked out of IRAQ. This is not accurate. I ahve heard many times by FOX, Brit, John Gibson, Asman and others, that FOX had been kicked out of IRAQ. THis was even before the war actually began. Just wanted to clear this up.
To: Dog Gone
He just reported a minute ago and called this a ruse by MSNBC. We'll see.

I dont think there are any "facts" available right now except that Fox is reporting that he is broadcasting live. See Post 500. Is the Pentagon lying, or is Reuters? Or has word not filtered down to Geraldo himself?

This thread exposed some on FR I would say. It is quite telling. I'm very disappointed.

Stop thinking that he's a serious journalist! That can only lead to anger and disappointment.
Enjoy Geraldo for his entertainment value. Of course he spent the evening autographing Hooters butts. He's Geraldo Rivera! Autographer of waitress booty, pistol-packing reporter, threatener of Osama, opener of empty vaults!
Just sit back and watch what he does next. It's always entertaining.
To: Stentor
Psyops? Or somebody decided to have a little fun. It's pretty funnyNow they are saying the source is Reuters. That's interesting. Probably payback for all of that favorable war coverage.
