If true,it couldn't happen to a better "military strategist" WANABEE".
When will these clowns simply report the news rather than try to make it?

Giving exclusives is what is in his blood I think, and ultimately his downfall in this case since he wanted to give out info nobody else was.

find this regrettable..cheerleader for those in uniform You express my feelings as well. In deed regrettable. However, it is happening all over. I am sure "yellow cards" have been waved at man of the media players. Receive too many and you're out of there!

Hey gang, I'm not so sure this is true. I read this report on Drudge on Saturday and yet there was Geraldo with the troops on FOX last night, I just have a feeling this is an internet myth that MSNBC has picked up again hoping to equalize their Arnett story.

I find this regrettable. I think Jerry has done a commendable job in Afghanistan and in Iraq. Nobody can question his patriotism. It's his judgement that is lacking. Still, I see your point. He obviously was very pro-military, and his exuberence got the best of him.

Ya wonder if he did it on purpose to get kicked out? Could be the action it tooooooo close.

...that silly mustache is also a crime...
NOOOOO! The mustache is beautiful (in a very silly way)! It's the very best thing about Geraldo's reporting. Well, that and his hats. Oh, and when he "goes native" and starts dressing like the people in whatever area he happens to be in.
And how about when he dodges bullets that no one else can see or hear? Or runs out in the middle of the street when he hears gunfire?
Geraldo's easy to love, you just can't pretend that he's a reporter.

Have you seen this?

Geraldo was at least pro-war...not that I'm going to shed any tears that he isn't reporting any longer. I saw his report with the troops yesterday and he seemed to have good interaction with our fighting men and women (they seemed to enjoy the attention). Anyway, I agree that some of these media-types just can't seem to help themselves...a couple days ago I actually saw a guy in Northern Iraq hold up a portable GPS to the camera. With Tivo you could pause the screen and see EXACTLY where he was standing. Maybe he wasn't in a critical place or something, but it just seemed like a stupid thing to do.

you are a forgiving person - I personally think he should know better having been involved with journalism for so long - hence his responsibility is greater

I was also on your team. FNC stopped responding to my many emails about Geraldo "The Fake". You can't shine $hit.

Thanks for the highlight! We need a little supportive self-talk to reassure the warriors in our movement to save America! Before the internet we could only fume inside our own homes. Now we are witnessing a sea change.
Our heroes are those troops in Iraq!
Our leader is George W Bush.
We have to do whatever we can to support them.
If we do, we will leave a much healthier country to our children, (and the children of those brave men and women in uniform.) There will be a lot of them born after those guys get home!! }; )
