Well, who really knows?

It should not matter one whit to us what they want. We are there to kill Saddam, Uday, and Qusay Hussein, and a few of their friends; and to locate and destroy weapons of mass destruction.

Subsequently, we will prevent the emergence of a government that will restore the status quo ante.

That's a big mission to accomplish. It has yet to be shown that we can accomplish it, but I believe we can and we will.

If we want the Iraqis to be like us, if we want to buy the world a home and furnish it with love-that I'm almost certain we cannot do.

If the latter is the mission, failure is almost assured.
