Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Iraqi forces know that Basra is key..especially in regards to our supply route to the Baghdad advance, not to mention the humanitarian effort. They are shuffling troops from Baghdad and Basra has a strong fedayeen presence. The good news is that we control the air. Time to kick ass and make an example...Soon!

I thought by then the PCFs would have been heavily given to the VN Navy. They got all the new PCFs in'68 before I left. We used to get a good belly laugh because their boats ALWAYS were listing at their dock. It was pathetic.
I snuck onto one of their larger patrol boats once after a beer bash at the end of the little air base near the lagoon to steal a case of what I thought was wine. It was that disgusting fish sauce they make there out of rotted fish guts. Boy!!!! Did we have a suprise when we got back to the flotilla! Took me 3 days to get the taste out of my mouth. All they used the patrol boats there that I could see was to black market to who knows where. That damned crud is known worldwide to this day by VNs all over the world.
Gettin' off message here. Getting into the old sea stories. Let's contact thru FReep-mail.

MSNBC,
Predator destroyed missle launcher with Hellfire missle that they think was responsible for some of the Kuwait missle attacks last night.
DOD says 3 Predators lost so far, cost is 40 million each.

Time to kick ass and make an example...Soon! You got that right, NK will be looking at this & thinking we are not capable of destroying anyone. Truth is we could have made Iraq a parking lot in two days, maybe we should have!

Fox - Pentagon states that there are no reports of any downed aircraft in Iraq
Keep in mind that if they show debris, it might be from the apache that took a hard landing earlier this week (from which they captured the pilot and gunner), which was eventually destroyed by an allied missile strike in order to prevent sensitive hardware to fall into enemy hands.

KIM Chong-il is a crazy man. Assisination or surgical srike to take him out, along with hitting his nuke processing plants should solve the problem...To think of the alternative would be devistating. He would Nuke S. Korea..Then we would make N. Korea a glass parking lot. When I first went hunting at 11 years old and killed a duck... I felt terrible, but very proud.
