• Some terrorist group being hit by Brits & Special Forces. I couldn't get the name of the area, but may have sounded something like "sar al afran"
• We've been bombing a ridge somewhere sounding like "kalat" - a couple of bombs
• 21 T-55 tanks neutralized in Basra by air power.

You'd think they'd have taken out all of them by now near Basra, where do they keep coming from? BBC radio is talking about it too, but it keeps fading out & I only get half the conversation. Very irritating!

As far as where the Basra fighters come from, it is a large city, I think near a million or maybe two, so it is no surprise that there is plenty of resistance there. It is taking some time, but not that much, it seems to me.

I heard yesterday that there may be an operation coming soon to "cut a corridor into the city" which would allow "humanitarian aid" to reach the good citizens there as well as to facilitate military operations.
