Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

CNN is like another planet with most of their reporters. I had to check to make sure they were covering the same Iraq war.
L.A. Times had 4 page spread complete with pics today of the supposed US bomb that hit the Iraqi market.

I just might do that.....thanks Bud.

DirecTV and Dish do collect viewing information in aggregate. That's one of the purposes of having the STB plugged into the phone line. Tivo does it also. That's how they were able to tell what the most rewound paused segment was during the Oscars.

All of the Media is just baffled. They're just starting to figure out "Hey War is extremly complex and we don't understand it AT ALL".

I thought everyone knew pretty quickly by the size of the hole that it could not have been a cruise missle? Heck the first report I heard of it mentioned the size of the crater and the doubt that any munition that the US dropped on Baghdad would have cause such a small divot.

We have a receiver in the bedroom and I sometimes hear odd sounds when all's quiet. I suspected as much. Thanks for confirming.

The most rewound was Moore the Boor. The most paused was whats-her-horseface from Pretty Woman.

I nominate CNN's Anderson Cooper for "Biggest Boob" on reporting the war so far.
Best implosion was while talking to former SPECOPS guy who mentioned operators with "esoteric" capabilities.
Anderson broke in to say he had never heard that word used before and he appeared to wet himself. As the operator continued Anderson was still mumbling the word as if hit with a ball peen hammer.
To: Humidston
You're welcome. In Tivo's case, it's also uploading information, like the TV schedule for instance.
